Inexpensive E2 clearomizer/fluxomizer TANK mod

Since I have not been able to get my hands on a MAP-tank, I decided to make my own tank mod.

Made this in less than 30 minutes. Works great. The cuts on the transfer syringe tube and on the clearomizer tube are crude since this was done just to see if it would work. If a person has access to a Dremel tool and a small bandsaw, you could end up with a "perfect" Tank mod.

No leaks, but it will flood the ceramic cup if laid on it's side which is no biggy since it only gurgles a bit then straightens right out.

Can't beat the cost and it works great since the wicking rope is not smashed and twisted inside a tiny tube. I've used it all night and love it. The taste of the liquid is extremely consistent beyond any atomizer or cartomizer I have ever used.

I used a regular sized clearomizer at 2.6 to 2.8 ohms.

Will you be selling a "kit" of sorts for this mod, Gene?

Wow... That's pretty awesome, Gene.

A walkthrough or a place where we can buy one would be awesome. :D

No, this idea was just something that came into play while using one of the 12ml syringes. I do carry those... lol

I just thought maybe there might be some other folks interested in making their own tanks beyond reasonably cheap. I wasn't expecting good results and was quite surprised when I fired it up and the juice flavor was excellent. More of a surprise when the flavor was consistent. I have "never" had good luck with E2s and have tried many. I believe the success comes from the wick being able to float freely. The diameter of the transfer syringe is relatively close to that of the Hello-016 battery which is just 5/8 of an inch. That makes for a nice looking tank. If I can make this mod, almost anyone can. I'm very curious now how much mileage I can get out of it. If I build another one, I'll use a Dremel and a small bandsaw to achieve better cosmetics. I actually only made 3 cuts. The first, 3/16 of an inch up from the bottom of the clearomizer tube. Then the 2nd was when I cut off the transfer syringe needle point, and the last cut was at the mark just above the 6ml point. Rounded out the hole on the bottom of the Syringe tube with a pen-style X-ACTO knife to the size of the clearomizer tube and insert the E2. Ran a bead of super glue around where the tubes meet on the bottom. Removed the rubber stopped from the plunger and made a hole in it the diameter of the clearomizer tube and inserted the part that I had cut off. Placed the rubber stopper into the top of the syringe and pushed the clearomizer tube down until it sat over the ceramic cup. It will stop at the black cone, but pushing to hard will make the cone slide down the E2 post. Used another syringe to fill it by sliding down past the ceramic cup. Put the drip tip on it and have used it all night long.

The only things anyone needs to purchase is the 12ml transfer syringe and an E2. The clearomizers have the pliable clear plastic tubing which you can easily cut just using a brand new razor blade. Metal E2s would be a bad deal. Everything else, most everyone already has in a drawer at home.

I don't have the any E2s in stock because FDA grabbed our shipment back in late November. We were told that they will not ship it back to China and will hold "any" e-cigarette related items for 50 days pending their Federal court appeal. When asked if e-cigarettes were illegal, the inspector said NO, but that they are in a transition right now and FDA has instructed all ports to seize anything related to electronic cigarettes until further notice.

So did you ever get your shipment released from the FDA?

wow, i didn't realize it was so straight forward like that, i might give this a try soon. I have one really well performing "clearomizer" that would be awesome if it held more juice. Thanks for the Info

Yes finally, I called customs twice a week for over 2 months reminding them of recent court decisions and informing them of news articles which are becoming more abundant about how the FDA should be held in contempt... lol

I think they just got tired of me calling.

The package wasn't even opened. They held it because of the packing description said R4 and they thought it was liquid. I told them it means Revision 4 of the "empty cartomizers in the box"... duh

Spent the weekend modding bottles... they all work great. 8)

If I get some free time, I'll try to post a how-to-make-em video.

Holy Moley! You've been busy!

All these tanks intrigue me yet scare the crap out of me. I talk to folks that love them but they all mod them somehow. Makes me feel like a confused newb all over again. Lot of tanks at our meet this past weekend!

Oh and a new vaper joined us and really liked that Bounty Hunter Tobacco so I gave him a bottle with your info.
