I have 24mg VG nic juice. Every time I put in my calculator to make the nic strength 24, it tells me I need negative drops of straight PG or VG. If I already have 24mg VG, why would it want me to remove some of the VG (which obviously I cant) but I'm just saying, wouldn't that just mean I don't need to add any extra VG since it's already at the strength I want?

If you are using the calculator I think you are there is a slide at the bottom for the PG/VG Ratio. I'm guessing you need to fiddle with that setting.

Well, if the base liquid is already at 24mg strength, adding any flavors to it will dilute it to less than that. Maybe the calculator you are using is taking that into consideration. Hence why it wants you to remove some of the VG to get your desired 24mg strength. I'm just guessing here. Can't say for sure without knowing which calculator you are using

I'm just going with that generally speaking, my DIY liquids will be 24 mg but maybe a little less - until I get my higher strength nic. It's not like I add a whole ml of flavor lol.

Honestly yes, unless you add a ton of flavor, it shouldn't really lower your nic strength too awful much. I only DIY menthol, so it's pretty basic and easy to make. The only tricky part was trying to achieve my desired PG/VG ratio.

Hmm.. You must be using a different app than I am. If there is no PG/VG ration slider there should be a place to put your desired PG/VG ratio. I think that is where the trouble lies.

Well technically now I use the paid version as I wanted to support Ivisi and after his free version worked so well for me - I got the donate version.

They all work similarly though so if you have no slider look for a PG/VG ratio to select.
