Hey Ho Laurel...... Nice to see you too!! I sure have missed being around lately. Time just seems to slip away.
Yeah, it is too bad about the juice. I know anger is a useless emotion, so I've written it off to "experience" and will just steer clear of that particular vendor. It's not like there is only one juice vendor, thank Goodness. It still appalls me the the vendor did not offer do to a thing to try and satisfy a customer. It's not like I wrote nasty notes.... that's not my style.... I subscribe to the "catch more ants with honey than vinegar" theory. It's ultimately the vendors loss, but from the tone of the notes, I don't think that was much of a concern. Nuff said....lol.
Happy 2011 to you and your family as well. I hope you have a safe, prosperous, and healthy 2011.
I finally got my child support paid off and have been looking real hard at the ProVari. I think your post put me over the top and convinced me to take the plunge. I love the way you can tune it in to your particular style and hardware. Your one comment about 3.6 vs 3.7 amazed me.... how one tenth of a volt can make such a difference. I really don't need all the bells and whistles on the unit, but I'm sure they will be fun to play with...lol.
BTW.... here's a couple of formulas that should not give you a terrible headache to calculate power (P) and current (I). The down and dirty formula for figuring power is P = E x E / R (sorry, can't do superscripts on this keyboard, so I'll do it in words). Power equals EMF (elecrtomotive force) or voltage squared divided by Resistance (ohms). That will tell you how many Watts a certain combination of Voltage (E) and Resistance (R or ohms) will pull.
The other one that's handy to have around is calculating amperage. I think the ProVari has a cutoff at 2.6 amps. So, use this formula to get an idea if a certain combination will cause it to trigger and shut down or give an error..... I (current or amperage) = E / R . Using this formula, you can figure how many amps. a battery and atomizer or carto combination will pull. Anything over 2.6 amps will not work with the ProVari and less will be OK. Hope that helps.......
